CMAT intends to:

  • reach, service and support young artists
  • grow into an innovative and dynamic international world music centre
  • offer a wide range of musical experiences
  • increase music participation in several genres
  • provide music makers with access to 21st century technology and high-quality, industry-standard services, e.g. recording, mastering et al
  • showcase artists while acting as a conduit for them
    by working closely with other mainstream venues nationally and internationally
  • host art exhibitions.
 

With Phase 1 complete, CMAT offers:

  • a newly fitted, large recording studio
  • rehearsal spaces
  • a community recording and training studio
  • a music technology training suite
  • meeting spaces

The ground floor at CMAT is fully accessible, there is on-site parking, a kitchen with an attached ‘chill room’ and a welcoming staff!

An archive and R & D Unit, mastering suite and facilities to reproduce CDs will become available in the future.
