The creative industries play a key role in the changing economy of any region and Birmingham has a strong tradition of supporting music and related performance
arts. CMAT supports that tradition by fostering creation
and development of the entrepreneurial skills required to run successful music and arts-focused organisations and by assisting with translation of those skills into commercially viable products and services.

As CMAT grows, the Centre will provide an increasing
range of music production facilities and arts education and training support services for established artists as well as companies working in music and other of the
performing arts.
